Ready for take-off

For everyone a new fase is a different experience and some might not even welcome it quite at the same time. The eagerness for children to leave home is more an urge to explore their own possibilities and be independent than to actually say goodbye to their childhood. They happily sail off with their little lifeboats in the knowing that the mother ship is steadily cruising in familiar waters.
When that ship however is about to be docked and no longer houses the family, the separation between the self-evident picture of a home including more than four walls and a roof falls apart. Change makes the world move faster and wrapping your mind around it takes a moment. Emotions need to be brought up to speed with unsettling effects. Once it has the excitement of the new prospects become the rope to hold on to in their dive and the space for the new phase presents itself.
