House for sale

You never realize what something feels like until it becomes a reality , any experience in life you haven't lived is a surprise. The strange thing is your imagination beforehand either makes it a pleasant one or a painful one.
After 22 years letting go of the house is stepping into a new place entirely. The very foundation of your home life is up in the air. Total uncertainty as to when, where and what will come to pass can be very disturbing. Is it my anticipating nature or awareness; I'm not sure but fear is not an option in my book. I've got a feeling of closure and acceptance toward letting this part of my life end if only because of the excitement that lies ahead.
Within two weeks that the sign was put up in the front yard five couples have come to see the house and although it's best to not be present when strangers examine your safe haven it just seems right. You don't want to hear what they have to say much like a parent doesn't want to hear anything bad about their child.
And so it is. The next step into my new life fase has been taken.

  1. Hi Frederieke - I can relate to this. As you know, we moved to Huntsville, Alabama this summer. Although we still own our house in Melbourne, Florida, we will probably never move back there again. It's currently being rented by a couple of university students. Recently in November when we visitng relatives in Melbourne for Thanksgiving, we drove by the old house, but I really did'nt want to know what had changed. For instance, they cut down a lot of the bamboo I had planted over the 10 years that we lived there. Oh well, nothing stays the same, nothing lasts forever. Our new chapter is here, in hilly Alabama! Take care and all the best with your new adventure!
